I need to get out of the house...

Uno...Dale and I have played this card game countless times since Christmas. Always three out of five. :) I was playing with my depth of field in this shot...so Dale is blurry in the background. In case you can't tell - yep, that's the beard - it's back. I don't care for the beard, Dale loves it. So, he keeps the beard from Christmas through the end of June (I nag continuously about it) and is nice and clean shaven the other six months of the year. My day has been a lot like yesterday...sitting around, watching TV, and playing on the internet - I know...such a glamorous life! Luke is snoozing in my lap as I type this - I don't know how he is going to handle me going back to work next week...he's gotten very spoiled having me home for the past two weeks! See you tomorrow!

Day Two!

I promise this will not be a "Photo-A-Day of Luke" but this really shows the kind of nice, lazy day we had! Luke loves to lay in the sun, so as it moved around the room, so did he! Today is my Mom's birthday, so Dale and I went to my parents' house tonight for dinner. Four days left til I go back to school...I have to admit it will nice to get back in a routine and feel productive!

January 1, 2008 - New Beginnings

Wow...it's already 2008. The older I get, the faster time flies! I've decided that I might as well jump on board and start my own blog! I spend enough time on the stinkin' internet - I might as well share what I have to say instead of just reading other people's posts! I'm also tying the blog in to one of my New Year's resolutions - which is a photo a day in '08! Basically, my goal is to take at least one photo of something everyday and share it here.

New Year's isn't necessarily one of my favorite holidays - it's usually just a quiet night in for us. One thing I do love about it is the blank slate it seems to provide everyone. It's a time of new beginnings and new goals. I think it's great that we all have the chance for a type of "fresh start." Other than the goal I just mentioned, I would like to learn more about Photoshop and try to do more photo shoots!

Here's my photo from today. Keshia and I went to the funeral home in Clarksville this afternoon and afterward had dinner at The Black Horse. Downtown Clarksville looked gorgeous with all the Christmas lights...unfortunately my camera battery was dead. So I came home...charged it up...and took two pics to share for today! I'm off to a good start! The first picture is Luke relaxing in front of our fireplace. With temperatures dipping down into the teens tonight - that's a good place to be! The second is a picture of the snow on our deck. SNOW....that's right SNOW!!! It was coming down really hard on my way to Clarksville, but I didn't notice that it had accumulated until I pulled in our driveway and saw our driveway and vehicles covered!

I hope you have a wonderful 2008!
